PERMISSIONS?!?!

Rick is one of the biggest assholes in the known universe. Like for real. He's a callous, self-centered, sociopathic piece of shit. And since that kind of personality can really rub people the wrong way (and since the show he's from is loaded with stuff that a lot of people just aren't okay with), I figured I'd set up a basic permissions post.

First and foremost.

IF YOU ARE EVER UNCOMFORTABLE THREADING WITH RICK, PLEASE JUST PM ME AND I WILL DROP THE THREAD NO QUESTIONS ASKED

IF YOU WOULD RATHER NOT EVER THREAD WITH RICK AT ALL, PLEASE PM ME AND I WILL NOT TAG YOUR CHARACTER WITH RICK. AGAIN, NO QUESTIONS ASKED
-Addendum: I will keep a list of no-fly-zone characters that will be private to me and me alone. I don't want anyone feeling guilty for requesting to keep a character Rick-free, since I know I personally get that way about stuff like this.

With that taken care of, onwards to the rest of the permissions stuff.

Rick as a character has a couple of major problematic issues that could be described as triggering. The major ones are:

Alcoholism
Drug use
Self-destructive behavior
Extreme depression/suicidal tendencies

That first one is the most problematic one simply because it's the one that comes up the most often. Rick is literally always buzzed if not outright drunk. He has not been sober even once on the show. He is constantly shown drinking, carries one or more flasks, and displays pretty much every alcoholic/drunk symptom you can think of (vomiting, slurred speech, aggressive behavior, etc). If any of this ever makes you uncomfortable, I can either drop the thread outright or tone down the behaviors/actual drinking within the thread. Since it's such a major part of his character, I really can't get rid of it entirely, and I can only tone it down so much, but I will do what I can to keep the RP safe.

For the other three, I will try to warn in the subject line of the post or thread for whatever is happening. Any of the really heavy/fucked up stuff will always be behind a cut.

Lastly, the basic stuff.

Hugging: You can try but good luck. He will almost certainly try to punch you unless you're an established friend.
Flirting: Again, feel free to try. Rick is pansexual, but he's not easily won over.
Fighting: He will fight back with extreme prejudice.
Injuries: Sure, just PM me for anything serious.
Killing: Just talk to me beforehand. Rick is a) hard to kill and b) will almost certainly try to kill you back c) even if you succeed, he will find a way to get revenge
Mind Reading: PLEASE GO FOR IT YOU DON'T EVEN NEED TO ASK. Expect to mostly pick up on complex math and science/pseudoscience bullshit, lots of cursing, and just generally deeply fucked up shit. Feel free to ask if you have any questions etc.
